Tim Moonan ’95 was named Innovator of the Year by the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce at its annual Business Leadership Awards Gala on Nov. 29, 2017, at Jasna Polana in Princeton, New Jersey.
Moonan, who earned bachelor's from Rider University's College of Continuing Studies, is the CEO of the Hibbert Group, a Trenton-based, 136-year-old institution that helps plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns.
“Receiving the Princeton Chamber of Commerce Innovator of the Year award was truly an honor for me and the Hibbert Group,” Moonan says.
Moonan was selected because of the personal impact he and his firm have made in the region, says Peter Crowley, president and CEO of the Princeton Chamber of Commerce. “Tim’s passion for helping to make Trenton a place to do business in has been recognized by many groups and we are proud to be able to recognize his accomplishments with this award,” Crowley says.
Moonan attended Rider as an adult with a full-time job and a family, eventually earning a bachelor's in business administration. “My educational experience at Rider has been invaluable," he says. "Attending Rider in the evening as a working adult enabled me to directly apply my coursework to my daily work life. It was a tremendous experience and I continue to apply my education every day as a father, husband and executive.”
The Princeton Chamber's annual Business Leadership Awards Gala reflects on the accomplishments and achievements of local businesses by recognizing noteworthy industry leaders. Each year, the Chamber gives awards to a business leader, entrepreneur, innovator and community leader. The innovator award goes to "an individual, business, or organization instrumental in promoting change and innovation in their industry, their field of interest, or in the communities of the Princeton-Mercer Region."
