The distinction represents the highest honor from the Interactive Media Awards
This fall, Rider University’s website won an Interactive Media Award for Best in Class. The award is the highest honor given at the Interactive Media Awards and “represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism," according to the Interactive Media Council, a nonprofit organization of leading web designers, developers, programmers, advertisers and other web-related professionals who created the awards.
Rider's website received high scores in all five evaluative criteria of design, interactivity, content, functionality, usability and compliance. In content and functionality, the website was given scores of 100 percent. It earned this recognition among 131 other entries in the university category. "We are proud to receive this award, which complements Rider's commitment to excellence in providing a top-notch, user-centered approach to its digital presence,” says Rider’s director of enrollment digital strategy, Tara Laposa, who oversees every aspect of the website, including design, strategic planning and execution.
To win the award, Rider's site had to pass a comprehensive judging process and receive high marks in each level of criteria — "an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each year," the IMC says.
