The Princeton Review has also named Rider among its 'Best 378 Colleges'
In its annual “America’s Best Colleges” issue for 2015, U.S. News & World Reporthas once again placed Rider University in the top tier of its Regional Universities – North category at number 23. In addition to the U.S. News & World Reportrankings, The Princeton Review has named Rider among its “Best 378 Colleges” in the nation for 2015. Both publications have ranked the University favorably in their respective surveys for more than a decade.
“Once again, the national publications have validated what we have always known — that Rider is one of the top-tier Universities in this region,” said Rider President Mordechai Rozanski. “I would like to congratulate our talented and dedicated faculty and staff whose commitment to our students’ success is the main reason behind this national acknowledgment of excellence.
“While these rankings are a popular measure of an institution’s reputation,” Rozanski continued, “ultimately, one of the best ways to evaluate the quality and fit of a university is a personal visit to meet the faculty and students and experience the student-centered character of the learning community. This is where Rider excels.”
Many students who choose to enroll become leaders in their respective fields of study, garnering acclaim both nationally and beyond. In fact, during the 2013-2014 academic year, Rider students have earned the following significant distinctions:
- Madhupa Das ’14 received the 2014 Distinguished Student Teacher of the Year.
- Matthew Ruszcyk ’14 and Nikki Bivens ’15 were grand prize winners in the CyberAces Competitions.
- Emmanuel Bossy ’14, Peter DeFranzo ’14, Kevin Tallaksen ’14 and Jana Wolf ’14 won first place in Rutgers University’s Graduate Student Case Competition.
- National Broadcasting Society Awards were received by Madeline Smith ’15, Jim Vasil ’14, Margaret Casperson ’14 and Ryan McAdams ’15.
- The Rider News, the University’s weekly student newspaper, won 17 awards for journalistic excellence.
- Rider’s Model U.N. received the Outstanding Delegation Award.
