Westminster Conservatory Faculty Recital Series Celebrates AAPI Heritage Month

This concert will feature music for solo piano, piano duo, vocal solo and ensemble, string quartet, and 5-string viola, written by composers of Japanese, Malaysian, Chinese, Taiwanese, and Korean descent. Of particular note is the world premiere of Inakamichi for string quartet by Mercer County composer and string teacher Mr. Takuya Horiuchi.

Westminster Conservatory faculty members who will perform on May 9 include Timothy Urban, baritone and recorder, and pianists Bing-Bing Chang, Jenny Chiou, Eunju Kim, and Fang-Ting Liu. Guest artists include Jing Yang, five-string viola, and the New Jersey Philharmonic Chorus, Duomi Liu, conductor.
