DIRECTOR'S NOTE
We are born under, live through, create, and endure as individuals and as a whole within -isms: some that label, deny, identify, uphold, illuminate, and oppress us. We practice these processes, behave or act within, prejudice or discriminate others, identify conditions and adhere to beliefs through -isms, that are almost all systems created to make an US and THEM factor. When the -ism is of benefit we feel part of a group, and supported (us); but that quickly changes to exclusion, and demeaned inferiority when the -ism is used to ostracize (them). The rank and order of what is higher and what is lower is manmade and promotes worth that is against the high self love we should have as one or as many. The cast self-written monologues, and the songs used to portray those feelings, thoughts, and theories directly confront these -isms, to communicate change, release, empathy, compassion, and one more -ism: altruism.
