The Westminster Conservatory of Music is thrilled to announce our partnership with Rex Arts, Inc (Recreation Arts, Inc) to provide high quality musical theatre programming to our community. Led by Nathan Brewer, this partnership will provide unique virtual musical theater programming for students from grades 2-12. Students from any location can participate in our popular performing arts programs from the comfort of your home! Through small group instruction, we will learn songs, choreography, and theatre games each day. Participate with your siblings, invite your friends and neighbors to join remotely, or connect with friends and family from a different state!

If you love to perform, on stage or in your bedroom, you will love the singing, dancing, and acting we explore in this program. Everyone is a star in this show! Described as “Sweet, sassy, passionate and delightful” and “cooked to perfection,” this musical by Sara Bareilles was one of the successes of the 2016 Broadway season. This medley includes: Everything Changes; Opening Up and She Used to Be Mine.

Spring Awakening
A Pre-Professional Musical Theatre Training Program

In this pre-professional training program, we will prepare a remote production of Spring Awakening, while learning acting, dance, and vocal lessons. The program will be directed and instructed by Nathan Brewer (New York University), along with an artistic staff from the prestigious Long Island Musical Theatre Festival. Serious students who want to learn will flourish in this program.
The winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, told by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater through what Entertainment Weekly called, "the most gorgeous Broadway score this decade," Spring Awakening explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood with a poignancy and passion that is illuminating and unforgettable. The landmark musical is an electrifying fusion of morality, sexuality and rock and roll that is exhilarating audiences across the nation like no other musical in years.
Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sundays from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00, and Some Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Oct. 3 through Nov. 21.

*Not all actors will be called for every rehearsal. If you let us know about specific conflicts before rehearsals begin, we will try to work around your schedule.
$850 tuition, regardless of assigned role in the production (casting will occur after registration payments are made). All participants will receive individual training, and all students will be featured in the performance. Each student will receive 4 free tickets for the livestream performances, other tickets will cost $20
