Rider University, The College of New Jersey, and the American Chemical Society will hold Chemistry of Protection & Global Security, the third luncheon in their novel Chemistry Career Café Series on Saturday, April 21. The program will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Business Basement Lounge at The College of New Jersey.
The overall goal of the Career Café Series is to introduce high school, undergraduate and graduate students to the wealth of professional and academic opportunities for chemists available in Central New Jersey and Philadelphia.
The upcoming luncheon, Chemistry of Protection & Global Security, will explore careers that protect individuals’ rights and our health. Invited speakers will include army and naval chemists, chemists from government agencies, patent lawyers, scientific policy makers, food and pharmaceutical standards technologists and consumer advocacy groups. Students will have a chance to learn about career experiences of local chemists, network with professionals and discover local internship and career opportunities. This program follows the successful luncheons held in fall, Chemistry of Food & Beverage and Chemistry of Art & Literature.
Pre-registration is required. Registration deadline is Saturday, April 14.
