Sometimes you only have one shot to make a great first impression with a job recruiter, secure a sale with a potential client or land that promotion. The competition can be intense. How do you perform under pressure, focus and remain confident? Now is your chance to learn from a pro.
The Center for the Development of Leadership Skills (CDLS) is holding the Peak Performance Series, a three-part series featuring Ed Tseng, a peak performance expert, coach and motivational speaker.
“Regardless if you are an athlete, student, professor, coach or musician, everyone wants to perform at the highest level,” Tseng explained. “Peak performance means doing your best when it means the most.”
Students are invited to participate in one or all three of the following sessions in the Student Recreation Center Seminar Room:
Monday, February 27, 4:30 to 6 p.m. - How to Be Unstoppable
Monday, March 26, 4:30 to 6 p.m. - How to Be an Expert in Your Field
Monday, April 9, 4:30 to 6 p.m. - How to Successfully and Creatively Market Yourself
“I would like to have the students walk away with some tools and understanding to the keys to peak performance and also HOPE, which is an acronym that stands for Hold On, Possibilities Exist,” Tseng said.
Tseng, a 2005 United States Tennis Association Pro of the Year, is the director of Mental Conditioning at the Monroe Sports Center and Motion Gymnastics Academy. He is the head girls team coach at Princeton Day School, as well as the author of the book, Game. Set. Life, and the mental skills workbook, How to Be Unstoppable. “This series is designed to motivate students to take ownership of their lives and inspire them to be their best both personally and professionally,” Laura Seplaki, associate director of CDLS, said.
