University offers discounted educational advancement opportunities
On Oct. 29, Rider University formalized a partnership agreement that includes tuition assistance with the New Jersey Bankers Association for its employees.
Rider will now provide a 20% tuition reduction for New Jersey Bankers Association employees. The reduction applies to all undergraduate, part-time graduate on-campus and select online programs. Rider offers more than 70 undergraduate programs and over 40 graduate programs.
This partnership continues to strengthen Rider's relationship with the New Jersey Bankers Association. Each year, the association's charitable foundation sponsors Rider's Veteran Entrepreneurship Program, a free seven-week summer intensive that provides veterans expert guidance on developing a new business concept or growing an existing business.
"The New Jersey Bankers Association has made a meaningful investment in our Veteran Entrepreneurship Program, providing the means for vets to pursue their dreams of owning their own businesses," says Rider President Gregory G. Dell'Omo, Ph.D. " We're pleased to extend our support to their employees by providing tuition assistance."
At the signing ceremony, held on Rider's Lawrenceville campus, two graduates of the Veteran Entrepreneurship Program spoke about their experience and the successful businesses they have launched since participating in the program.
New Jersey Bankers Association President and CEO John E. McWeeney, Jr. says, “Rider University and NJBankers have long enjoyed a partnership that benefits veterans so when the university approached us about tuition assistance, we were pleased to offer the program to our members. The ability to get or supplement their education will certainly contribute to their success as well as the success of their bank.”
Founded more than 115 years ago, the New Jersey Bankers Association (NJBankers) is a trade association representing 83 banks and more than 200 service providers. NJBankers provides a variety of services to members including government relations at both the state and national levels; education and professional development, and employee health and welfare insurance benefit programs through its licensed insurance brokerage facility, Bankers Cooperative Group.
