Dr. Hayoung Heidi Lee: An Opera about the ‘Progress of Music’:Charles Burney, Domenico Corri’s The Travellers (1806) and the Macartney Embassy to China 1792–1794.
Hayoung Heidi Lee is Assistant Professor of Music History at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Originally from Seoul, Korea, she studied music history and comparative literature at University of Washington, and received her PhD in historical musicology at Stanford University. Her teaching and research interests include opera history, women in music, and European and Asian musical encounters
