Rider University is the recipient of the State of New Jersey Opportunity Meets Innovation Challenge Grant. The funds are focused on support for student populations that have been historically disadvantaged, including underrepresented minorities, low-income students, and working age adults, many of whom have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. Rider identified several campus priorities and opportunities that align with our strategic goals to serve these populations of students, among those priorities is access to a loaner laptop to support their educational pursuits.

Applications will be evaluated individually based on the eligibility requirements listed below.

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at Rider University.
  • Applicants must demonstrate serious financial hardship. This hardship must have a direct impact on the student's academic success at the University.
  • Please note that should your request be approved you will be required to sign a laptop agreement outlining your responsibilities for the equipment.
