Summer 2022 Programs

Musical Theatre Institute
Experience what it is like being a student in the nationally recognized programs in Acting and Musical Theatre at Rider. Enrollment is open to high school singers, actors and dancers entering the 10th grade through those who have just completed their senior year.

Westminster Vocal Institute
Under the direction of choral conductor and clinician, Jason Vodicka, the two-week Vocal Institute at Westminster draws students from across the country and around the world. Enrollment is open to students entering 9th grade through those having just completed their senior year.

Game Design
Understand games from inside out and develop the core design and creative storytelling expertise and gain an in-depth understanding of the writing, art, gameplay, audio, music and animation skills needed to create immersive and interactive games.
Solo Vocal Artist
An excellent opportunity for the dedicated young classical singer to explore the many facets of developing the singer’s art through daily private lessons and master classes. Enrollment is open to students entering 9th grade through those having just completed their senior year.

Composition Week
Composition Week provides aspiring young composers with concentrated study in the fundamentals of composition. Enrollment is open to students entering 9th grade through those having just completed their senior year.

Solo Pianist Week
This workshop offers the serious young pianist an enriching and inspiring musical experience. Program Highlights include daily private lessons, studio classes and lectures with Westminster artist faculty, Ena Bronstein Barton, James Goldsworthy and Phyllis Alpert Lehrer.
Scholarship Opportunity
Students who complete any Rider University Pre-College Summer Program prior to applying for first-year admission to Rider University can qualify for a $2,000 Pre-College Completion Award.
The award is annually renewable for up to four years of full-time, continuous undergraduate enrollment at Rider University (up to $8000 total value), provided you maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.5 or better as a University student.
