Counseling Center Outreach seeks to improve self-awareness and the emotional well-being of Rider students through mental health and wellness programming. Our programming aims to provide an engaged learning experience which fosters interpersonal relationships between individuals, with the campus community, and the University at large.
This happens through a variety of different ways. We develop and execute campus-wide awareness-raising, psycho-educational events held throughout the year. We are also available to co-sponsor small group workshops for special groups by request.
Typical outreach events include but are not limited to:
- Suicide Prevention
- Wellness Check-up
- Pet Therapy
- Massage Therapy
- Eating Behaviors Screening
- Stomp Out Stigma
- Denim Day (to raise awareness related to sexual assault)
To request Outreach’s participation in or assistance with an event, email the Outreach Team at [email protected] with the following information:
- The day, time, and location you hope to hold your event.

Please provide at least two weeks’ notice prior to your event, and note that the team only works on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Therefore, emails sent on other days will be answered as soon as possible.
