VRME LogoAnnouncing “Visions of Research in Music Education: The Conference,” at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey on May 24 and 25, 2019.

Since 2001, Visions of Music Education has published articles by international authors on all aspects of music education that contribute to a visionary view of the profession. Visions of Research in Music Education: The Conference includes colleagues and graduate students presenting papers advocating for new perspectives for music education at all levels. Topics include: Artistic Citizenship, Community Music, Critical Pedagogy for Music Education, Culturally Relevant/Responsive Pedagogy, Gender and Identity, Popular Music Pedagogy, and STEM/STEAM.

We are delighted that David Elliott and Gareth Dylan Smith will be the keynote speakers. Special guest Norm Hirschy, editor at Oxford University Press, will present a session on publishing. We look forward to seeing you at Westminster in May.
