Accounting Major

Accounting is the language of business — the universal way to tell the story of a business and evaluate its performance. As a student in our internationally recognized AACSB-accredited accounting program, you’ll acquire expert technical skills, an excellent understanding of the fundamentals of business and impressive hands-on experience.

That’s why Rider accounting alumni are in demand with Big 4 accounting firms, Fortune 100 corporations and other leading organizations worldwide

Careers in Accounting

At Rider, our accounting degree can prepare you for career tracks in public accounting (CPA firms); corporate, non-profit and governmental accounting; and internal auditing.

Today’s accounting professionals are central to business success, playing a critical role in goal setting, performance monitoring and compliance. Accounting is also a pathway to top management positions: many chief financial officers (CFOs) and chief executive officers (CEOs) credit a strong accounting background as key to their career advancement.
