EFL Instructors

Study Tours by Rider University seeks EFL Instructors for temporary summer positions in multiple locations to teach not-for-credit EFL classes to international high school students. The program uses an ESL curriculum, but instructors must be prepared to supplement with lessons based on the itinerary of the program and American culture. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree and ESL/EFL teaching experience preferred. Classes run from 9 am to 12 pm, and in some cases 1 pm to 4 pm to meet the 30-hour classroom requirement. Individuals must be available for entire two-week session, including some Saturdays and may be hired for multiple sessions up to a site maximum. Schedule is subject to change to meet the demands of the program. Please complete an online application to apply for this position. Business English Instructors

Business English Language Teacher is a temporary summer position to teach Business English to international high school students. The program uses a Business English – ESL curriculum, but the instructor must be prepared to supplement with engaging, interactive lessons based on current business skills and trends.

Classes run from 9 am to 12 pm and/or 1 pm to 4 pm, and sessions will run either a maximum of 30 contact hours or 45 contact hours. Individual must be available for the entire session, including some Saturdays, and may be hired for multiple sessions. Schedule is subject to change to meet the demands of the program. Class size is approximately 20 students.

Academic Supervisor

Study Tours by Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, seeks an Academic Supervisor for a temporary summer position (June – August) with our 2018 program at California State University in Northridge, CA. Individual is responsible for managing the overall operations of the Study Tours/PLUS academic program in Northridge and will work in conjunction with the Campus Manager to ensure the smooth daily operations at the site. He/she works under the direct supervision of the Director, International Auxiliary Programs. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent along with prior ESL/EFL related experience and supervisory experience. Individual must represent Rider University’s values and model those values to subordinates. Additional skills required include: the ability to multi-task; manage instructors; be pleasant, polite and cooperative with fellow employees, University community and external community; and the ability to maintain organization of classes, students, and program curriculum. One to two years prior experience with the Study Tours/PLUS Program preferred.

Study Tours by Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, seeks an Assistant Academic Supervisor for a part-time, temporary summer position (June – August) with our 2018 program at California State University in Northridge, CA. Individual is responsible for supporting the Academic Supervisor in managing the overall operations of the Study Tours/PLUS academic program in Northridge. He/she works under the direct supervision of the Academic Supervisor for the LA Experience. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent along with prior ESL/EFL related experience. Individual must represent Rider University’s values and model those values to subordinates. Additional skills required include: the ability to multi-task; manage instructors; work well with fellow employees, University community and external community; and the ability to maintain organization of classes, students, and program curriculum. One to two years prior experience with the Study Tours/PLUS Program and previous supervisory experience preferred.
