Address by Marc Lamont Hill Highlights Black History Month at Rider

The keynote address by Hill, a prominent educator and television commentator, on February 5 kicked off a month-long celebration of African-American culture and heritage on both campuses.

Dr. Marc Lamont Hill urged students to honor the tradition of Black History Month.

Students Help Rebuild Jersey Shore

More than 50 members of the Rider Bonner Community Scholars Program lent a hand at Union Beach, Ortley Beach, and Brigantine Beach on January 26.

Bonner Community Scholars volunteered along the shore as part of their winter retreat.

Students Get a Dose of Medical Experience

During the Rider Hospital Intern Program, students shadow physicians, nurses, paramedics, and other health care professionals at various Capital Health locations.

Amanda Burke '10 Selected to Olympic Performance Squad

Amanda Burke ’10 was selected to the Olympic Performance Squad for 2013, one of 26 divers who exhibit the skill and determination it takes to become 2016 Olympic Team members and compete in the Olympic Games.

Amanda Burke '10 was a three-time Rider female Athlete of the Year.


Shaping Safety on Campus

Long before Vickie Weaver became Rider’s director of Public Safety, she was a sculptor interested in teaching art. Now, the president-elect of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Association is shaping safety policy for thousands of students worldwide.

Vickie Weaver will become president of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Association in June.
