Rider's online Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program was ranked 28th on the 2018 list of the 50 Best Online Master of Accounting Degree Programs by mastersprogramsguide.com. This is the program's second national ranking in just a few weeks; it was also ranked as a best online program by U.S. News and World Report.
"I'm incredibly proud to see our online Master of Accountancy receive national attention," says Dr. Margaret O'Reilly-Allen, chair of the accounting department. "Students choose Rider's program not only because of its focus on preparing students for the CPA exam but for its strong reputation and high academic standards. They know they will be challenged and are confident in their abilities as they take their careers to the next level at the end of their studies."
Rider's online MAcc program is designed for current professionals looking to further their careers and prepare for the CPA exam. The College of Business Administration (CBA), which houses the program, is among the only two percent of schools worldwide that hold dual AACSB accreditation in both accounting and business.
To determine the ranking, mastersprogramsguide.com evaluated programs based on four factors: affordability, accreditation, student satisfaction and support, and online accessibility. It also consulted information from U.S. News and World Report, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, school websites, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
