Nicolas Schidlovsky

Ph.D., M.F.A., Princeton University, Department of Music; B.A., Williams College. Pianist, historical ethnomusicologist, composer, and vocal (liturgical) collegium director. Extensive record of music teaching and musicianship including the faculties of Westminster Choir College and Westminster Conservatory. Public lectures at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (NYC) and Smithsonian Institution (Washington, DC). Recipient of prestigious awards as musician and scholar (well-known for leading publications as medievalist and global chant specialist) from the National Endowment for the Humanities, The Martha B. Rockefeller Fund for Music, International Research and Exchanges Board, Fulbright-Hays, Dumbarton Oaks, and others). Participant in premier exchange as an American music student at the Moscow Conservatory, U.S.S.R., 1978-80. Conservatory faculty since 2006.
