Mr. Martin trained in San Jose, California, under Dimitri Romanoff. After receiving a scholarship to the American Ballet Theatre School, he moved to NYC, to continue his training, subsequently joining the Joffrey Ballet. As a principle dancer in the Joffrey, Mr. Martin performed many of the company’s renowned works and was involved in the creation of many new works. He has performed a diverse array of roles in ballets by Ashton, Arpino, Cranko, Balanchine, Joffrey, Taylor, Pendleton, Kudelka and many other great 20th century choreographers. He has also performed with the Cleveland Ballet and for 8 years with the American Repertory Ballet, were he helped to create may full length and repertory ballets. He was also a ballet master and teacher for the American Repertory Ballet. Mr. Martin film credits include two productions for Dance in America.
