Chihiro Gordon earned her Bachelor and Masters degrees as a solo pianist at Vienna Performing Arts University (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien) under Jürg von Vintschger. Being deeply inspired by her studies with KS Walter Berry, she has dedicated her music to working with singers. She earned her second Masters in Art Song Accompaniment with Carolyn Hague at Vienna Conservatory, and subsequently a Masters in Opera Accompaniment under Kristin Okerlund. As a post-graduate she continues her study in art song under Julius Drake at Graz Performing Arts University (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz).
Chihiro has performed at venues including Wiener Musikverein, Wiener Konzerthaus, ORF- Concert hall (Vienna), La Sala Petit Palau (Barcelona), and the Liedhalle in Stuttgart. She was invited to play as part of the Ludwigsburger Castle Festival and the Rheingau Music Festivals (Germany). She won second prize with Elena Coupons at Hugo Wolf Art-Song Competition for Duos in Stuttgart, Germany.
She has performed in additional master classes and private lessons with Angelika Kirschlager, Thomas Quasthoff, Simon Keenlyside, Bernanda Fink, Helmut Deutsch, Julius Drake and Malcom Martineau. Her portfolio includes artists such as Wolfgang Holzmair, KS Birgid Steinberger, Jörg Schneider, Elena Copons, Nina Tarandek and Katharina Bradic. As an opera accompanist she has also worked for Theater Baden (Baden), Kammer-Oper Wien, Theater Akzent (Vienna), Lehar Festival (Bad Ischl), and Autumn Festival (Blindenmarkt). Chihiro currently resides in Vienna, Austria.
