Yannick Nézet-Séguin Conducts Westminster Choir CANCELED
Enjoy the rare opportunity to experience Yannick Nézet-Séguin in the intimate setting of Zankel Hall, conducting the choir hailed as “the gold standard” (American Record Guide). The spectacular conductor began his illustrious career studying choral conducting at the Westminster Choir College and returns to his roots when he leads this illustrious ensemble.
In an interview on the Carnegie Hall website, Nézet-Séguin reflected on the upcoming concert and said, “To be given the opportunity to focus — without instruments — on the human voice and the harmony not only of the sounds but the harmony of the hearts and of the souls, which I think is very special and unique to the Westminster culture. This is really palpable when we’re on the stage.
This performance has been canceled by Carnegie Hall due to COVID-19 concerns.
