NAfME Speaker Series: Gareth Dylan Smith

Gareth Dylan Smith is the manager of program effectiveness at Little Kids Rock and a visiting research professor at New York University, where he is a lead researcher in the area of popular music pedagogy. His primary instrument is percussion, and he has collaborated with many popular rock/pop bands. His most recent books are Punk Pedagogies: Music, Culture and Learning and Sociology for Music Teachers: Practical Applications. Gareth will be visiting several music education classes throughout the week of February 11.
