Rider Course Option
Select one course from the list:
MTH-315-Modern Geometry (3)
Rider Pre-requisites: MTH-211-Calculus II AND MTH-240-LinearAlgebra)
RVCC Pre-requisites: MATH-152-Calculus II AND MATH-256-Linear Algebra
For Mathematics majors (Rider Mathematics majors must attain a “B” average in Calculus I and II in order to take advanced mathematics courses.)
MTH-340-Probability & Statistical Analysis I (3)
Rider Pre-requisite: MTH-212-Calculus III
RVCC Pre-requisite: MATH-251-Calculus III
Following completion of 30 credits and the Rider Intent to Enroll Form and while a student at Raritan Valley; students have the option to take a course at Rider that counts toward the Rider degree. The selected course allows the RVCC student to experience first-hand the academic environment at Rider. See Raritan Valley or Rider Transfer Representatives. Contact information listed below.

Raritan Valley Community College Footnotes
1 Take one eight (8) credit Science Sequence from either BIOL 101 General Biology I & BIOL 102 General Biology II, CHEM 103 General Chemistry I & CHEM 104 General Chemistry II or PHYS 101 General Physics I & PHYS 102 General Physics II or PHYS 150 Engineering Physics I & PHYS 151 Engineering Physics II.
2 Select a course from the appropriate category of the General Education list.
3 Choose a course from CISY 103 Computer Concepts and Programming or CISY 105 Foundations of Computer Science.
4 Any college level course. Students are encouraged to take MATH 110 Statistics I and MATH 111 Statistics II or MATH 117H Statistics - Honors) or a Math Elective (select from the list in footnote 5) and other college-level course. NOTE: If you have chosen the foreign language sequence instead of the science sequence, you must take a total of 7 credits of free electives to attain the minimum required 60 credits.
5 Students must select two courses from the following: MATH 254 Differential Equations, MATH 256 Linear Algebra, MATH 255 Discrete Mathematics.
6 PHYS 150 Engineering Physics I, PHYS 151 Engineering Physics II & PHYS 250 Engineering Physics III may be used as science electives.
7 If foreign language is chosen, a two-semester sequence is required. Placement by examination is required for students who wish to continue studying a language previously studied. Students may not take courses below their placement level. For more information, see Foreign Language Placement Testing & Degree Requirements.

Rider University Footnotes
Ʊ Students have a number of options to satisfy this requirement; courses are evaluated on an individual basis.
RVCC students interested in the College of Continuing Studies (CCS) at Rider should contact that division directly.
For transfer credit the RVCC student must have a grade of “C” or higher in all courses for transfer.
£ For Rider: Mathematics majors must attain a “B” average in Calculus I and II in order to take advanced mathematics courses.
