Following completion of 30 credits and the Rider Intent to Enroll Form and while a student at Raritan Valley; students have the option to take a course at Rider that counts toward the Rider degree. 2 Mathematics by official placement test. Students must complete math through MATH 113 Precalculus II.
3 Students who pass the technological competency test (no credit) may take any General Education course.
4 Select a course from among the following: ENVI 103 Energy and the Environment , ENVI 202 Geographic Information Systems, ENVI 203 Organic Agriculture, BIOL 232 Field Botany, BIOL 249 Ornithology , BIOL 247 Vertebrate Zoology , BIOL 150 Plants, Humans & the Environment, GEOL 157 Introduction to Geology, BIOL 221 Microbiology, BIOL 242 Genetics, CHEM 211 Organic Chemistry I, CHEM 212 Organic Chemistry II, PHYS 101 General Physics I, PHYS 102 General Physics II. It is recommended that students consult with an Environmental Science faculty member.
5 Offered in the fall semester only.
6 Any college level course except ENVI 101 Environmental Studies.

Rider University Footnotes
Ʊ – Students have a number of options to fulfill this requirement; courses will be evaluated on an individual basis.
▪ For transfer credit RVCC students must have a grade of “C” or higher in all courses.
▪ Remedial and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are not transferrable.
▪ Transferred courses are 100 level to higher.
▪ Rider suggests that the RVCC student contact the Rider Sr. Assistant Director of Admission, as early as possible in the transfer process as possible. From this point, the student will be connected to the Environmental Science faculty to further guide course selection in addition to the Transfer Advising Guide.
∞ - If both MATH-112 & MATH-113 are taken at RVCC; both courses combined will count for a total of 4 credits and Rider MTH-105-Algebra & Trigonometry. This is also reflected on New Jersey Transfer.
