Rider Course Option
PHL-115, Ethics
Following completion of 30 credits and the Rider Intent to Enroll Form and while a student at Mercer; students have the option to take a course at Rider that counts toward the Rider degree. The selected course counts academically at both Mercer and Rider and allows the student to experience first-hand the academic environment at Rider. See Mercer or Rider Transfer Representatives. 1 Select from approved list of CHE, BIO, MAT, PHY, and COS courses available from Science & Health Professions division office.
2 Choose from the following approved general education electives: ECO 103, 111, 112; GEO102; POL 101, 102, 201; PSY 101,206, 207; SOC 101, 103, 107.
3 Select from CHE 201, 202, 205, 210. Final grade in chemistry courses must be a C or above for chemistry majors.
4 Select from MAT 151, 152, 201, 251, 252.
5 Choose from the following approved general education electives: ART 101, 121, 122, 123, 124, 125; MUS 103, 224, 225; PHI 102, 113, 204, 205: PHO 110; REL 101, 102; THR 101; all FRE, GER, ITA, SPA courses; all general education HIS and Literature courses.
6 Select course from among either the approved Social Science or Humanities general education electives listed in footnotes #2 and #5 above.
Ϯ HPE 111 is an acceptable alternative.
β Mercer students need to complete sequential courses such as CHE-101/102, CHE-201/202, & BIO-101/102 at Mercer.

Rider University Footnotes
Ʊ – Students have a number of options to satisfy this requirement; courses will be evaluated on an individual basis.
For transfer the Mercer student must have a grade of “C” or higher in all courses for transfer credit.
Students must earn a grade of ‘C” or better in BIO-115, BIO-116 and BIO-117 to meet the major requirements and before enrolling in upper-level courses for which these courses are pre-requisites.
Mercer students interested in the College of Continuing Studies (CCS) should contact that division directly.
