Rider Course Option: Following completion of 30 credits and the Rider Intent to Enroll Form and while a student at Mercer; students have the option to take a course at Rider that counts toward the Rider degree. The selected course counts academically at both Mercer and Rider and allows the Mercer student to experience first-hand the academic environment at Rider See Mercer or Rider Transfer Representatives. NOTE: Electives should be selected in consultation with an academic advisor in order to assure maximum transfer of credits.
1 – Selected courses- other than any MAT (Mathematics) course or ECO-103 – from all at least two of the general education categories: Social Science, Humanities, Historical Perspective, Diversity and Global Perspective.
2 – BUS-210, 218, 244 or MKT-101 are acceptable substitutes, provided BUS 230 is taken as one of the four general education electives. Select in consultation with an academic advisor in order to assure maximum number of transfer credits.
3 – Consult academic advisor for credit transfer requirements.
Ϯ – HPE-111 is an acceptable alternative.
NOTE: Mathematics courses may not be selected as general education electives.

Rider University Footnotes
Ʊ – Students have a number of options to satisfy this requirement; courses will be evaluated on an individual basis.
For transfer credit the Mercer student must have a “C” or higher in all courses for transfer credit.
Students interested in the College of Continuing Studies (CCS) at Rider should contact that division directly.

Requirements are subject to change. This Advising Guide is best used in consultation with an advisor.
