Slaps, punches, throws, falls, kicks, stabs, and slashes- what better way to start your summer! This 50-hour intensive will cover from the ground up the two of the most used weapons in stage combat (basic unarmed and single sword). The week will culminate in a public performance and Skills Profificiency Test adjudicated by a Fight Master from the Society of American Fight Directors and invited guests. Participants must be able to commit to all training times.

Baritone Sean McCarther serves as Assistant Professor of Voice at Westminster Choir College where he teaches studio voice and undergraduate voice science. In May of 2012 he received his doctorate in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy with minors in music theory and movement/postural analysis at Indiana University. He studied voice with Dr. Robert Harrison and pedagogy with the late Paul Kiesgen. Dr. McCarther earned his Master of Music degree with an emphasis in speech pathology at Indiana University and his Bachelor of Music degree at Baylor University, where he studied with Jack Coldiron.
