Camp Director: Sandra Olson
Grades 6 – 12
Sunday, July 21 – Saturday, July 27
Come experience a fun-filled week of fluting! Sandy Olson and Gerald Carey, a duo who have been teaching summer flute camps for more than 30 years, are joined once again by pianist Esma Pasic-Filipovic, flutist Diana Charos-Reilly, and flutist Sue Gillio, who will bring from her studio in Illinois an array of larger flutes for student use during flute camp (Alto flutes, Bass flutes and a Contrabass flute). Students will be assured a quality ensemble experience.
If you love to play the flute, then consider this seven-day camp where you can strengthen your flute technique, learn new solo and small-ensemble repertoire, hear faculty recitals, gain performing experience, and make new friends!
Students have the option of residing on campus in the dorms or commuting from home.
Students are placed in ability-based groups for small ensembles and must have a minimum of 2 years of playing or permission of the camp director, Sandy Olson ([email protected]).
Flute Camp will be held on the campus of Westminster Choir College in Princeton. Residential students are supervised in the dorm by counselors.
Daily scales and warm-up classes, master classes, faculty recitals, flute choir, specialty classes and a final recital.
