Students have the opportunity to use and enhance their skills by taking part in performances held on campus. Each academic year, the School of Communication, Media and Performing Arts presents six major productions (three musicals and three non-musicals), as well as two musical cabarets, a new play festival and several student-produced shows.
Campus performance facilities, venues and resources include:
- The Yvonne Theater – a 450-seat, state-of-the-art theater
- The Spitz – a recently renovated 100-seat studio theater
- Bart Luedeke Center Theater – a 340-seat proscenium theater
- 38 practice rooms
- 6 performing spaces
- 7 music classrooms with full teaching technology and pianos (5 with grand pianos)
- 3 music computing labs
- 3 dance studios
- 2 digital game and interactive media design labs
- 1 Presser Voice Lab
- State-of-the-art recording studios, editing rooms and equipment in the newly renovated Fine Arts building
- Presser Bell Choir Rehearsal Room
- Instrumental Ensemble Rehearsal Room
- Talbott Library, which contains more than 67,000 books, music scores and periodicals, and 80,000 titles in its choral reference collection
