Many thanks for your interest in Rider University’s Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) major. I appreciate this opportunity to tell you more about this fast-growing and in-demand business specialization.
We welcomed our first GSCM class at Rider in 2009 — and so much has happened in that brief time! Our program is respected and nationally ranked, and our graduates are sought after for their quality and preparation.
We emphasize strong, hands-on experiences for our students, and our faculty members bring diverse professional and academic experiences to the classroom. My own 20-year career included heading up Johnson & Johnson’s U.S. consumer distribution organization, as well as the U.S. Consumer Healthcare Logistics organization of Pfizer, Inc.
The supply chain program we’ve developed at Rider represents an exciting, interdisciplinary effort by the Department of Information Systems, Analytics, and Supply Chain Management, the Department of Marketing, and the International Business program, with additional support from faculty with expertise in Management Science. We are focused on forging mutually rewarding relationships between the Rider community and supply chain professionals in both private industry and the non-profit sector. The result is an exciting “big picture” major that prepares our students for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
Whether you are a prospective student interested in the GSCM major or a professional who would like to explore how our program can be of value to your organization, I invite you to contact me. There’s never been a more exciting time to be in this field!
