Program for Advanced Scholastic Standing (PASS)
Rider’s Program for Advanced Scholastic Standing or PASS is aimed at allowing high school students to earn college credit by successfully completing carefully selected courses taught in high schools by high school faculty.
The University will award 3 college credits to high school students who apply for the program, and have successfully completed with a grade of a B or better pre-approved video production courses at their high school.
Rider will award college credit for an appropriate basic Rider course if and only if learning experiences at the high school level of instruction duplicate those at Rider. Other colleges and universities will transfer PASS credits according to their own transfer policies.
How To Apply
Students interested in the program will need to speak with their high school TV or Video Production teacher or guidance counselor to find if their school participates in PASS, and to determine the courses they need to take to receive college credit.
