Keynote Presenter – Mr. Robert Schimek

Mr. Robert Schimek ’87 is the Executive Vice President and CEO of Commercial, overseeing AIG’s commercial insurance businesses worldwide and is the current Fellow for the Center for the Development of Leadership Skills.

Mr. Schimek’s leadership philosophy is founded on the ideas that one must lead by example, be good to those you lead, learn from both the good and bad behaviors you observe, and constantly raise the bar of success for yourself and others.  He challenges those he leads to “think big” and create transformational opportunities to meet the greater and common good.

Workshop Presenter – Dr. Pamela Pruitt

Grammy Award-winner, Pamela Pruitt, Ed.D. is Director of Multicultural Affairs at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ, where she is responsible for promoting unity, diversity and inclusion among the campus community through programs, training, celebrations and community outreach. Dr. Pruitt recently received her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Management at the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. Her dissertation entitled, “How First-Year College Leadership Programs Influence Students’ Behavior and Attitudes in Order to Promote Civic Engagement through Democratic Dialogue and Democratic Deliberation,” has recently been published by ProQuest.

Workshop Presenter – Farheen Choudhary

Ms. Choudhary is the founder of Aristotle Communications, LCC, and consults with small and medium sized organizations to develop the leadership, communication, and public speaking skills of professionals.  She is also an adjunct professor for the Communications Departments at Rider University and Middlesex County College.  In 2012, Ms. Choudhary founded Intellectuals Forum, a forum that promotes intellectual thought and understanding of diversity.

Workshop Presenter – Kelvin Clark

Mr. Clark is a native of Newark, NJ, although his family relocated to North Carolina in 1999.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from North Carolina Wesleyan College and his master’s degree in Liberal Studies along with a Graduate Certificate in African and American Studies from Duke University.  In July 2016, he came to Rider to serve as the Coordinator in the Student Success Center where he oversees all success coaching programs. This semester, he is now adjunct faculty and will teach HIS 151: The World Since 1500.
