Today I Will
The Westminster Choir’s 2017 tour, titled “A Thousand Years to Live," focused on the opportunities and challenges that each day presents to us. The Choir invited audience members to participate in the concert by considering how they would spend the next 24 hours and communicating their intention by completing the sentence: Today I will _______. The audience shared their plans by writing them on a card, which they gave to the choir members, or by tweeting it with the hashtag #wcctodayIwill.
The video on this page is a collection of many of the intentions shared by tour audience members. The music is “Death and Resurrection” from Paul Crabtree’s The Valley of Delight. Text is by American Shaker Ann Lee. Recorded at the Westminster Choir’s 2017 Homecoming Concert in Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall on the campus of Princeton University.
