Dear Members of the Rider University Community,
I am very excited to provide you with additional information on our Presidential Search. I want to share with you some information on the process and how best you can communicate your thoughts and ideas with us as we move forward together.
After various consultations, the Board has appointed the following individuals to serve on the Search Committee, which I will chair:

Mr. Jamie O’HaraThe Committee will be assisted by search consultant Steve Leo, Vice-President of Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates. Christine Zelenak, Director of the Office of the President and Executive Assistant to the President, will provide staff support to the search process.
We will ensure the fullest possible opportunities for all interested faculty, staff and students to have a voice in this process as the search unfolds. Our goal is to invite at least three finalists to our campuses for various individual and group interviews and public presentations in late fall 2014. We anticipate a Board process to select our next President no later than December 2014, to assume the position on August 1, 2015.
More information concerning the timeline, process and the position will be available on our new Presidential Search website. I would encourage you to visit the website for regular updates moving forward.
As part of the process, we will be sending to all members of the Rider community a link to an online survey helping us to identify the priorities, traits, experiences and characteristics of the next President. I very much encourage you to participate in this survey, and also to play an active role in the process by providing the Search Committee with any suggestions and nominations you may have.
