Break Housing

THANKSGIVING BREAK FALL 2010

The residence halls will be closing for Thanksgiving Break on Tuesday, November 24, 2010 at noon, and will reopen on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 12 Noon. If you require housing at any point during the break, please complete this application online no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010.

HOUSING DURING BREAK IS AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS WHO:

(1) Have a church job (i.e., return Saturday night for a Sunday morning church job)

(2)Live more than 10 hours from campus, including living abroad

(3)Are of independent status

WINTER BREAK 2010 - 2011

The residence halls will be closing for Winter Break on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at noon. If you require housing between December 22, 2010 and January 20, 2012, please complete this application online no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8 2010.


The residence halls are closed to ALL resident students between Dec. 25, 2010 and Jan. 3, 2011


Residents approved to remain in housing between December 22 - 24, 2010 at noon will not be charged.


**Residents (except for those with church jobs) approved to remain in housing between January 4 - 21, 2011 will be charged $15 per day.


Residents with church jobs will not be charged for any portion of Winter Break.


December 24, 2010—access to the halls will be shut off at noon


January 3, 2011—access to the halls will be turned on at noon

SPRING BREAK 2011

The residence halls will be closing for Spring Break on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at noon, and will reopen Sunday, March 20, 2011 at noon. If you require housing at any point during the break, please complete this application online no later than Wednesday March 9, 2011 by 5pm.

HOUSING DURING SPRING BREAK IS AVAILBLE TO STUDENTS WHO:

(1) Have a church job (i.e., return Saturday night for a Sunday morning church job)

(2) Live more than 10 hours from campus, including living abroad.

(3) Are of independent status.

(4) Part of the Schola Tour

Princeton Campus Summer Sessions
Summer I May 17-June 25
Summer I (3 Week) May 17 -June 4
Summer II (3 Week I) July 6 -July 23
Summer II (3 Week II) July 26 -August 13
Post Summer (No Classes but need housing) August 13-September 2

Priority for summer housing goes to current students taking summer classes at Westminster or working full-time on campus. Current students who are working off campus are eligible for on campus housing, but do not receive priority. All students living on campus for the summer will be housed on the first floor of Ithaca. The charge for summer housing will be posted in the late spring. 2009 Summer Rate was $170 per week(meal plan not included in this rate).

Most accommodations are double rooms. If space is available, single room requests will be honored at an increased rate.

WE CANNOT GUARANTEE A SINGLE ROOM. If chronic illness, handicap or psychological limitation requires special living accommodations, please submit written verification from your physician.

RATES LISTED BELOW ARE FOR ONE SESSION AND MEALS ARE REQUIRED RATES ARE PRELIMINARY AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE

1 (ONE) COURSE ROOM RATE: $170 Per Week
2 (TWO) COURSES DISCOUNT ROOM RATE PER SESSION*: Double Room $250

*Students who work are campus who fall into "Mission Critical" category will receive the discounted room rate of $250 per session. Please see your summer supervisor to find out if this applies to your summer position.

*Must be two courses at 3 credits each or a science course with combined lab class. Discount rate applies to current Rider students only.
