ORFF: Carmina Burana

Westminster Symphonic Choir joins the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra to perform Carl Orff's secular cantata Carmina Burana.

This monumental work for orchestra and chorus features poetry that celebrates life’s pleasures and music that soars with incredible sound. Carl Orff said of his work,  “Everything I have written to date can be destroyed. With Carmina Burana my collected works begin.” The performance will also feature Claude Debussy's enchanting Nocturnes and George Antheil's concert overture McKonkey's Ferry.
