Westminster College of the Arts Dean’s Fund for Student Community Engagement Projects

The WCA Dean’s Fund for Student Conferences and Presentations will help to cover the expenses of students participating in community engagement projects related to their field of study during the academic year (September to August).

The award is open to any WCA student.  Award amounts will typically range between $50 and $200. Proposals are evaluated by the WCA Chairs Committee (including the dean(s)).

To apply, send one digital document (pdf, doc, etc.) to [email protected] that includes:

  • Student’s name, major, and year
  • Title of community engagement project
  • Name of adviser for the project
  • Brief description and dates of project
  • Total budget and requested amount
  • Letter of recommendation (optional)

For priority consideration applications must be submitted at least three weeks prior to event.  They will be evaluated at scheduled department chairs meetings on a rolling basis until funds are depleted.  First come, first served.

The WCA Dean’s Fund for Student Conferences and Presentations helps cover the travel and research expenses of students presenting or participating in an official capacity at student and professional academic and music conferences related to their field of study, generally during the academic year.

The award is open to any WCA student.  Award amounts typically range between $50 and $200. Proposals are evaluated by the WCA Chairs Committee (including the dean(s)).

To apply, send one digital document (pdf, doc, etc.) to [email protected] that includes:

  • Student’s name, major, and year
  • Title of paper, presentation, or position
  • Proof of acceptance
  • Name of adviser for the project
  • Conference name, brief description, and dates
  • Total budget and requested amount
  • Letter of recommendation (optional)
