On-going emergency preparedness training exercises
As part of the University’s on-going emergency preparedness, active shooter training exercises will be held on the Lawrenceville campus on May 18 and 22.
The training exercises pose no threat.
Conducted by the Internal Revenue Service and observed by members of the Rider Public Safety Department, they will take place in Fraternity House #5 (Omega House) located lakeside just beyond the General Services Building according to the following schedule:
• Monday, May 18, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Friday, May 22, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Participants will carry mock firearms and will remain within the area of Omega House during training. There will also be a sound simulator used inside Omega House to mimic the sound of gunfire. The training exercises pose no threat.
Rider Public Safety and the Princeton Police Department have scheduled joint active shooter training exercises on the Princeton campus as follows:
• Tuesday, May 19, 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Cullen Center, Room 2
• Thursday, May 21, 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Bristol Chapel, Fisk Room
• Thursday, June 4, 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Cottage 1
• Wednesday, June 10, 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Talbott Library, Room 2
The purpose of these exercises is to measure and further strengthen response times, actions and communications between the two departments. Police will respond on campus without lights and sirens. No firearms or gunfire sound simulators will be used during the training.

Safe Rides Program
Transportation services for students who need a ride back to campus. The provider of Safe Rides is AAA Taxi of Ewing, N.J.
