The Outdoor Recreation Program provides an opportunity for students to explore natural areas in our region as well as experience an outdoor sport.

Our area is covered with hot spots perfect for outdoor recreation, from canoeing down the Delaware River to hiking the Appalachian Trail; this state is where it’s at! The Outdoor Recreation Program provides an opportunity for students to explore natural areas in our region as well as experience an outdoor sport. Minimal experience is required for participation. We also provide equipment to be rented out incase our students are interested in going a trip of their own. Our trips come to the students at a minimal price thanks to the Student Activities Fund.

To sign up for any of the trips listed below, or have any questions answered regarding our Outdoor Adventure trips, contact the Recreation Programs office. We will provide you with all the information needed to become part of these trips.

Adventure Club

The Rider University Adventure Club’s mission is to offer student members fun and adventurous activities to enhance enjoyment of campus life. Club activities may include, but are not limited to, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, white water rafting, paintball, zip lining, and many more. Participating in this club is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, get off campus, and spend time with friends.
