Recognized Fraternities and Sororities

Each recognized fraternity and sorority works closely with the Office of Greek Life to maintain their chapter in good standing. Through our standards and expectations process, chapters are monitored for performance related to set standards and advised closely for continuous improvement.

Alpha Xi Delta Women's Fraternity
o March 4, 1967 – received full chapter recognition as Epsilon Lambda Chapter
o Formerly recognized as the local organization “Sigma Iota Chi"

Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority
o May 13, 1962 – received full chapter recognition as Delta Sigma Chapter
o Formerly recognized as the local organization “Iota Sigma”

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
o December 8, 2002 – received full chapter recognition as Tau Kappa Chapter
o Formerly recognized as the Trenton / Princeton city-wide chapter

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
o Spring 2007 – became recognized as a "colony" through the Office of Greek Life Recognition Policy
o Currently working towards full chapter recognition through the Student Government Association
o Formerly recognized as the city-wide chapter of Eta Delta Chapter founded in the spring of 1974

Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc.
o November 3, 1991 – received full chapter recognition as the Iota Chapter

Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc.
o February 24, 1991 – received full chapter recognition as the Iota Chapter

Phi Sigma Sigma Women's Fraternity
o April 24, 1994 – received full chapter recognition as the Theta Eta Chapter

Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity
o February 22, 2002 – received full chapter recognition as the New Jersey-Zeta Chapter

Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity
o November 8, 2008 – charter was re-activated for full chapter recognition as Epsilon Zeta Chapter
o Originally chartered on April 20, 1956

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
o Spring 2007 – received full chapter recognition as Chi Alpha Chapter
o Formerly recognized as the Trenton / Princeton city-wide chapter

Zeta Tau Alpha Women's Fraternity
o April 22, 1967 – received full chapter recognition as the Zeta Lambda Chapter
o Formerly recognized as the local organization “Eta Upsilon Gamma"
