It definitely was a building block for my future.

The Proof Is In Our People

Why Kara Chose Rider

"I loved the small class sizes. I think with that you get more personal attention. I thought the campus was beautiful and I felt safe. Rider and its Communication department had a great reputation."

Rider's Impact on Kara's Career

"It definitely was a building block for my future. Now I have a small company. I still like that small intimate environment. The professors and the class sizes definitely encouraged me to have a certain type of outlook for my future — to have that drive, to do something for myself and not just follow the crowd."

Continued Success

"Since we expanded to New York, we were able to hire someone to take care of the finances, advertising and day-to-day logistics. My business partner and I are able to plan, conduct sales and execute the events. We have about 10 part-time planners and cap about 20 events per year in order to ensure quality. It’s a challenge for sure, running a business, but I think there’s some kind of satisfaction at the end of the day."

  • 2 Internships at two advertising agencies while at Rider

  • Senior During the fall of her senior Kara was offered a full-time job with DVC Worldwide (now Aspen Marketing Services)
