Audio, Visual and Television Services

The Office of Information Technologies Academic & Media Services group provides support for teaching and campus community activities and events.  Services include:

  • Audio Visual / Media Equipment
  • Support for technology based teaching facilities, including electronic classrooms
  • Support of campus communities activities and events
  • Facilitating Video and Web Conferences
  • Video and audio production including duplication services for faculty and staff
  • Cable TV and Rider based television networks

To reserve equipment, schedule event support or inquire about services, procedures or policies on the Lawrenceville or Princeton campuses, contact the Help Desk.

TWO (2) DAYS ADVANCE NOTICE IS REQUIRED FOR WEEKDAY SUPORT
FOUR (4) DAYS NOTICE IS REQUIRED FOR WEEKEND EVENTS.

Remember! When it comes to planning "the sooner the better" is the rule. We recommend you include enough lead time for tests and run-throughs. Media Services is happy to assist with testing and run-throughs as they are an important step for success.
 

On the Lawrenceville Campus

Office hours in the Fine Arts Building are (M-F) 8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. Evening classroom support during Fall and Spring semesters is available Monday through Thursday until 10 p.m. Contact the Help Desk at x3000 or 609-219-3000 between 5 and 10 p.m. and select the option for classroom/event support.

The types of equipment listed below are available to faculty and staff. Priority is given to faculty for instructional use.

Students and campus student organizations requesting use of equipment must provide written permission from a faculty member or advisor via e-mail to media@rider.edu in addition to contacting the Help Desk.  Students requesting use of equipment in residence halls are responsible for picking up and returning media equipment.

  • Audio: CD Players (portable) | Microphones | PA Systems
  • Visual: Overhead Projectors | Slide Projectors | Projector Screens
  • Video: TVs | DVD Players Digital Video Recorders (SD format only) | Tripods
  • Special: Data/video LCD Projectors | Laptop computer (limited loan period, PC only)
     

On the Princeton Campus

Office hours in the Talbott Library are (M-F) 8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. Evening classroom support during Fall and Spring semesters is available Monday through Thursday until 9:00 p.m. Contact the Help Desk at x3000 or 609-219-3000 between 5 and 10 p.m. and select the option for classroom/event support.

IMPORTANT – Please note that students and faculty borrowing camcorders and audio recorders are required to check equipment in/out at the Talbott Library Circulation Desk during library hours.

The types of equipment listed below are available to Princeton campus faculty, staff and students. Priority is given to faculty for instructional use as well as students for recitals.

  • Video: TVs | DVD Players | HD Digital Video Recorders (SD format only) | Tripods
  • Special: LCD Data/Video Projectors | Laptop computer (limited use by faculty and staff. PC only)
