Rider University Canvas Learning Management System Training Sessions
Training session for Canvas will continue throughout the year. If you are interested in training, this site will provide you with information and the opportunity to register for training sessions. The schedule of training will be updated regularly.
Faculty and staff training session will focus on the faculty experience of building a course in the Canvas LMS. Student training will focus on the student experience of using Canvas, but faculty are welcome to attend as well so they will know what Canvas is like from the student’s perspective.

Canvas Bootcamps
This training is designed with a “follow the leader” delivery mode. The session is designed for faculty to bring actual course materials, and get their fall courses up and running for the fall. Each bootcamp attendee must register ahead of time. (estimated run time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. with a 1 hour and 15 minutes of break time)

Canvas 101: Getting Started in Canvas
A 90 minute basic Canvas training session designed for new users, users who aren’t familiar with Canvas, and users who just need the basics to get started.

Canvas 201: Getting More out of Canvas
This course requires completion of either Canvas 101 or a Canvas bootcamp session. This 90 minute session is designed for users who are more familiar with Canvas or have already used Canvas. This session covers some of the more advanced features available in Canvas
