Rider University’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) is proud to announce that we have upgraded to Blackboard version 9 from our installed version 7.3! This upgrade will bring Rider University up to date with Blackboard’s latest build, and provide faculty members with new features.

Training Sessions

Training sessions for Blackboard 9 began in April, 2011, and will continue throughout the year. If you are interested in training, this site will provide you with information and registration. The schedule of training below will be updated regularly.

OIT will be offering groups, departmental, and individual training sessions throughout the upcoming months. Below you will find brief descriptions of the group sessions offered as well registration forms.

Descriptions of Group Offerings

  • For the month of October we will be offering workshops that will focus on a few specific aspects of Blackboard. Please read each date for a description of the items covered in each training session.
  • Blackboard Clinics - 
Interested in seeing the new Blackboard? Have a specific question? Not sure what Blackboard Mobile is? Come to a Blackboard Clinic! Stay for as long or as little as you would like (locations on both campuses) and receive answers from our Blackboard training team. Please note you do not have to sign up to attend a Blackboard Clinic.

Individual Training
Contact us to request an individual training session.

Departmental Training
We also will be happy to offer training to a department during you next department meeting. Contact us to request a departmental training session.
