To be considered for one of our transfer academic scholarships, you must:
Submit a completed application for admission by December 1 for Spring term admission and April 1 for Fall term admission, include fee, essay, one letter of recommendation and all official transcripts;
Be regularly admissible to the University as a full-time student;
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale, based on all college level work;
Have completed at least 12 credits of coursework at the college level
COMMUNITY COLLEGE TRANSFER AWARDS
If you attend a community college and are a member of Phi Theta Kappa, you can also receive a PTK scholarship. This annually renewable award of $2,000 - with a maximum three-year value of $6,000 - is made in addition to Rider's academic scholarships and grants. For full details, visit www.rider.edu/finaid.
NJ STARS II:
If you are a NJ STARS scholar graduating from a New Jersey community college with a 3.25 or higher GPA, you are eligible to participate in NJ STARS II at Rider. This award is $2,500 per year ($1,250 per semester), and is renewable for up to four semesters for a maximum value of $5,000. The award is made in addition to Rider's academic scholarships and grants. For details, contact the Office of Financial Aid at 609-896-5360.
ADDITIONAL AID OPPORTUNITIES
Legacy Awards: $2,000 annually ($1,000 per semester)
Awarded to new full-time students who are children, grandchildren or siblings of Rider graduates. Renewable for up to four years of study at Rider University.
Sibling Grant: $2,000 annually ($1,000 per semester)
Available to any new full-time undergraduate student enrolling at Rider University who has a sibling currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate at Rider. Awarded to each additional sibling as long as multiple siblings are enrolled, up to four years.
Maintaining Your Scholarship
All scholarships are renewable as long as the student maintains the required cumulative GPA at Rider specified in the acceptance letter and enrolls in 12 or more credits per semester.
