Recognizing the critical need for employers to invest in their organizations and employees in order to achieve long-term success, Rider University’s College of Business Administration (CBA) recently announced its new Executive Center for Education & Development (EXCEED).

The new Center will assist organizations through a full range of professional development and education offerings for executives, managers and aspiring leaders. EXCEED joins the College’s four other Centers for Excellence in Leadership Skills, International Business, Business Forensics and Entrepreneurial Studies.

“We are quite excited about the development of our newest Center for Excellence as a vehicle to expand our reputation as a regional leader in business and education,” said Dr. Larry Newman, dean of the College of Business Administration, who will serve as the executive director of the Center. “We plan to draw on our entire faculty as the first stop for expertise in this initiative.”

Planned offerings, including seminars, workshops, and networking, panel and guest speaker events, will be tailored to organizations’ specific needs and will be conducted onsite. Topics will range from ethics and corporate governance and branding for success to marketing plan development and financial reporting and analysis. Professionals can also take advantage of Rider’s Executive M.B.A. Program.

Newman will be assisted by Dr. Cynthia Newman, chair of the Marketing department, who will serve as director of programs and Mark Kasrel, Executive-in-Residence & Harper Professor, who will serve as director of corporate outreach.

“Companies realize that employees are the most valuable asset to their organizations, and they must invest in them,” said Kasrel, a licensed professional counselor and business consultant who has maintained a private practice and growing consulting business for more than 25 years. “Rider already has the reputation and the credentials. It’s an opportune time for companies to use the Center’s resources and experts to help train their employees.”

For more information about the Executive Center for Education & Development, please contact Dr. Larry Newman at 609-896-5152 or newman@rider.edu.
