Getting Down to Business

Message from the Dean

As the fall semester comes to an end, I am proud to report all that has been accomplished in the College of Business (CBA) since the last issue of this newsletter. Our faculty continue to produce valuable research and engage in meaningful student interactions both in the classroom and abroad. Our students have participated in various academic competitions and also have given back to the local community through hands on volunteer work. I am also excited to publicize the recent national rankings we received in three areas; Global Supply Chain Management, Forensic Accounting, and Leadership.

I am pleased to share that our graduate programs have been growing thanks in part to several new partnerships. The most recent is a corporate partnership with Bank of America. In July 2013, we began offering an onsite MBA program at Bank of America’s Hopewell, NJ campus. The response from the Bank of America employees to this unique opportunity has been outstanding. This new relationship is an example of our strategic efforts to serve the learning and development needs of the corporate community.

Finally, Rider University, along with the CBA will be celebrating its 150th birthday during the 2014-2015 academic year. As part of this milestone, please save the date for a celebratory event to be held on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014…more details about this exciting event will be coming soon!

Best wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season!

Steve Lorenzet, Ph.D.
