Getting Down to Business

Message from the Dean

It is amazing that eight years have passed since I became Dean of the College of Business Administration. Together, we have accomplished so much, including: completing two successful AACSB International maintenance of accreditation reviews for both business and accounting, establishing five Centers for Excellence, building two solid international partnerships, launching highly relevant new programs and revising all of our curricula.

We have affirmed our reputation as a terrific College of Business Administration that provides a quality education to many students from around the world, in many areas of study, and have continually raised the bar of excellence. This has been done as a team and I am grateful to all of my colleagues both within the CBA and from around the University as well as to the members of the various advisory boards with whom I have had the opportunity to work.

Going forward, I am delighted to be able to devote more time and effort to EXCEED (Rider's Executive Center for Education and Development). EXCEED offers customized consulting services and executive education for businesses and government organizations throughout the region (www.rider.edu/exceed).

CBA Maintains Prestigious AACSB Business, Accounting Accreditation

The College of Business Administration at Rider University has maintained its business and accounting accreditation by AACSB International — The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Sweigart Hall houses Rider's College of Business Administration.

Rider Team Competes in Supply Chain Competition

This was the University’s first year to participate in the competition where teams were charged to analyze and give a solution involving the energy and economic crisis in Pakistan.

A team of Rider University business students competed in the Supply Chain Management Case Competition in March.

Dr. Steven Lorenzet will succeed Dr. Larry Newman, who is pursuing new challenges after serving eight years as dean.

Dr. Steven Lorenzet will become the dean of Rider's College of Business Administration on July 1.
