Commencement 2012 Celebrates the Spirit of Determination

A knowing sun seemed to smile on the futures of 1,347 new graduates of Rider University and Westminster Choir College over three days of Commencement ceremonies on May 10, 11 and 12.

It’s a Family Affair, and a First

Jessica Burgh ’12 is the first child of a Rider graduate who also happens to be a faculty member to earn a degree from the institution. Her father, Dr. Richard Burgh ’68, is a professor of Philosophy.

Spring 2012 Town Hall

President Mordechai Rozanski delivered his annual Town Hall address on April 26, championing the value of a Rider education, as witnessed by student achievement and engagement, continual academic innovation, and the institution’s solid commitment to affordability. Overall, he reported that Rider was doing well.

Back to ‘Schule’ for Fulbright Recipient

Shortly before graduating on May 11, Jessica Nagle ’12 was accepted into the highly competitive Fulbright U.S. Student Program to teach English to German-speaking students in Austria. She is Rider’s sixth student Fulbright recipient in the last seven years.
